The role
As Product Owner you will play a key role in aligning the business strategy and user needs with the delivery of Salesforce and associated platforms across the organisation. Acting as the voice of the customer, you will be responsible for owning the product vision, managing the solution backlog, and ensuring that delivered functionality drives measurable value. This includes managing cross-functional priorities, stakeholder alignment, and technical input across the Salesforce platform, industry billing solutions, and integrations with supporting systems.
This is a great opportunity where you will bridge the gap between business and technical teams, working closely with architects, developers, suppliers, and operational leads to ensure high-quality, user-centric solutions.

- Translate user needs and business requirements into clear and prioritised user stories and product features
- Oversee and continuously manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects current priorities, technical dependencies, and stakeholder feedback
- Provide technical and functional input into business process design, ensuring usability, integration and non-functional requirements are addressed
- Act as product SME, collaborating with technical architects, data leads and solution designers on cross-platform integrations and enhancements
- Lead engagement with delivery teams, agreeing delivery methodology, sprint contents and prioritisation with internal teams and external suppliers
- Monitor and evaluate product performance, ensuring compliance with IT standards, governance and service performance expectations
- Own the change management process for assigned products, ensuring traceability, risk mitigation and smooth transition into support
- Champion continuous improvement and user experience, staying informed on Salesforce platform advancements and industry trends
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in digital product management or platform ownership, ideally within a Salesforce or cloud environment
- Proven experience managing Salesforce and other enterprise-grade platforms such as Microsoft 365
- Experience working with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and toolsets (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management and change governance in a regulated or utility environment
- Background in working across business and technical teams, acting as a liaison between stakeholder groups
- Experience in the water industry or utility sector would be advantageous
- Prior exposure to billing solutions or industry-specific customer service platforms is desirable
- Ideally project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or PMP and Salesforce certifications or equivalent experience would be highly regarded
