My client is a long established (since 1985) family run company, who are an integrated facilities services provider and manager of all types of commercial, industrial and institutional property. In thirty-five years, it has grown from its original commercial cleaning roots and diversified into property maintenance and refurbishment, security and facilities management and now has a turnover of circa £13m as a result of solely organic growth. The company have an excellent record of retention of both contracts and staff. I am currently working in partnership with them to find a new Sales Executive who has at least three years experience selling in the cleaning sector and possibly the manned guarding sector (as the company are also holders of SIA approved contractor status) to assist with the continued growth of the company. As part of the sales team (currently 2x tele/email marketing 2x sales people), you will be responsible for driving the business as they continue to expand. You will be required to: Build a pipeline to accommodate £1m of annual sales, broken down into 12 monthly targets and a quarterly structure.Utilise various research methods to target businesses and their key contacts, including online tools such as LinkedIn.Attend a targeted number of qualified appointments per week in London and the South East generated by our marketing team and self-booking.Prospect on a constant basis to overachieve set targetsTravel to the prospective customer sites to attend appointments, survey buildings and provide quotes for daily cleaning services.Focus on geographies in the South East of the UK.Responsible for price negotiations and objection handling.Responsible for the full sales cycleCreate and maintain new business relationships and manage the sale through to close. A typical sales cycle is 4 6 weeks.Carry out other relevant tasks to maximise sales revenue.Please note that this role is responsible for generating new business; it is not Account Management. The ideal candidate will have:Established career in sales with a minimum of 3 years in cleaning or similar associated industriesMust be capable of selling £1M+ in contract value per annumReside within the M25 or with relatively easy access to LondonCommercially astute, and must have experience in bidding and winning small, medium and large value contractsTeam player, with the aim to build strong working relationships with internal and external teams to aid selling performanceExcellent communication, presentation and strong mathematic skills and computer literacyA strong desire to succeed with the self-motivation to seek out new opportunities to aid marketing campaignsDrive and tenacityExcellent prospecting skillsValid UK drivers licence A basic salary of up to £40k per annum, commission (amount TBC), car, mobile phone and laptop provided, 20 days annual leave and a NEST pension scheme.
