Local Government Solicitor, NQ – 2 Years PQE, Birmingham, £45,000+ (DOE) – Are you a newly qualified solicitor or have up to 2 years PQE with a passion for local government law? Join this dynamic and growing Local Government Team in Birmingham, where you’ll work on a wide range of high-profile and meaningful matters impacting communities across the region. JOB REF: 0266.
THE ROLE:
• As a Solicitor within this team, you\’ll be supporting and managing cases across a diverse local authority client base.
• You will be responsible for housing disrepair, social care, property damage and EL, PL and Highways
• You will attend client meetings and court, instruct counsel and other experts, document review, drafting, and preparation for hearings and other ad hoc duties.
• Supporting more senior members of the team, you will also handle your own files.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from solicitors with up to 2 Years PQE with a real interest in this area of law.
• Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills
• A flexible and proactive approach to caseloads
• It is essential that you have strong communication and teamworking skills
