What You Will Do :
Operating in a Senior Consultant role, the successful candidate will contribute to the growth and delivery of the industry research solutions across the Guidehouse Insights Technology team. They will also be primarily responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of research and analysis aligned with clients’ needs. This role will play a lead role in growing Guidehouse Insights’ distributed energy expertise including energy storage, power generation and low carbon technologies.
The successful candidate will bring industry expertise and a general understanding of across Microgrids, Virtual Power Plants, Interconnection Innovations and the impacts of emerging technologies, services, and competitive threats as well as relevant policy and regulatory issues facing the industry. The successful candidate will be expected to speak confidently and intelligently about industry trends and challenges, including decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization transitions. The candidate should demonstrate the flexibility to pivot and respond quickly to a dynamic and evolving company culture and broader energy transition landscape including participation in expert forums, consortia, associations.
Specific responsibilities include:

Collect, synthesize, and translate information from varied sources into cohesive commentary on the market size potential and impacts of Energy Transition solutions and decarbonization technology trends

Authoring research reports, white papers, and other professional literature for a variety of audiences within the energy sector

Produce quantitative analyses and market forecasts

Client advisory

Engage clients to identify key trends and industry developments

Be the main analyst point of contact for a portfolio of DER accounts

Collaborate with colleagues across the Guidehouse platform expand client opportunities

Growth and Thought Leadership

Build and maintain a network of global contacts across the DER space

Conduct regular interviews with representatives of the industry stakeholders

Market subscription services and expertise via press interactions, conference presentations, contributed articles to industry publications, and blogs

Support targeted thought leadership campaigns to drive Guidehouse brand eminence

What You Will Need :

A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, business, economics, engineering or related higher education qualifications; graduate degree preferred

At least THREE (3) years of relevant industry experience including relationships with relevant industry players

Strong self-management. Takes on high commitments and works to achieve results despite setbacks, showing resilience in the face of challenges and in the pursuit of improvement.

Exceptional MS Office, writing, presentation and interviewing skills

Solid quantitative analysis, ability to create market models and forecasts using assumptions gleaned from research
