QA Engineer– (Identity)

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team focused on ensuring the quality, functionality, and security of Google Cloud Identity. You will play a crucial role in designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting issues, and collaborating with developers to deliver a robust and secure IAM solution.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans covering various functionalities of Google Cloud Identity services.
Conduct manual and automated testing across different platforms and configurations to ensure seamless user experience and functionality.
Identify and report bugs, defects, and security vulnerabilities effectively, providing clear steps to reproduce the issue.
Collaborate closely with developers to understand code changes, prioritize bugs, and verify fixes through regression testing.
Participate in code reviews to identify potential issues from a quality assurance perspective.
Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools relevant to cloud security and IAM solutions.
Contribute to the automation of test processes to improve efficiency and test coverage.
Document test cases, procedures, and findings effectively.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with a focus on cloud-based applications.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing).
Experience with API testing and automation tools (e.g., Postman, Selenium).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate test results and work with developers.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
