As a Creative Technologist you will collaborate with a team of designers, creatives, marketers and researchers to shape how the world learns about, experiences and interacts with Google\’s most advanced AI whilst also exploring new ways to use our own technologies to empower our creative work.

The role
We are looking for a highly experienced, self-starting, and innovative Creative Technologist to join our Creative team. This role involves close collaboration with creatives, producers, marketers, and external agencies. You will be responsible for the Marcomms technical stack, providing oversight and technical strategy for our web marketing properties. Additionally, you will partner with creatives and research scientists to develop interactive demos, utilize our generative media models, and build creative tooling for our brand and creative assets, ultimately shaping how the world experiences and interacts with our AI models.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead the long-term engineering strategy for several of Google\’s web marketing properties. Provide technical leadership and direction, collaborating with creative and marketing teams to prioritize initiatives and uphold technical excellence.
- Spearhead the technical stack, development roadmap, and launch processes; delivering clear, elegant, and scalable experiences.
- Collaborate with the creative team to craft engaging, interactive experiences. Translate AI research and product launches into compelling narratives through interactive storytelling.
- Produce clear, concise documentation, such as technical specifications and best practice guides. This documentation should effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deep-dive into the core capabilities and unique features of our latest AI models during go-to-market phases.
- Collaborate with research and marketing teams to create a backlog of best-in-class interactive product experiences, including launch demos and evergreen content.
- Engage with creative, marketing, and product teams to produce high-fidelity output from our generative models.
- Skillfully guide and prompt our models using intricate code-led prompting to explore and expand their creative and technical boundaries.
- Identify opportunities and build AI-powered tooling to streamline and elevate creative and marketing go-to-market workflows and produce novel brand and marketing expressions.
- Develop custom software and generative pipelines that push our creative output, enabling the team to produce novel brand and marketing expressions.
About you

- Proven technical leadership with a history of defining and executing long-term technical roadmaps.
- Expertise in modern web and Google marketing technologies.
- Hands-on experience working with generative AI models and APIs.
- Proven ability to work in a highly ambiguous and dynamic, cross-functional environment, distilling complex concepts into clear, actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical ideas to non-technical teams.
- Experience building internal tools or improving developer/creative workflows
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing emerging AI technologies to deliver unique and impactful experiences.
