Role overview:
As a Sales Lead / Business Development Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of tailored solutions across both existing and prospective clients of one of our specialist consultancies. You’ll lead business development efforts, owning the full sales cycle while building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities:
- To identify and engage potential clients through various channels. Utilise marketing leads, industry events, and networking to build a pipeline of prospects in our target industries
- To develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to our solutions. This involves understanding market trends, competitor analysis, and positioning the software effectively to different segments
- To build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing customers. Focus on understanding their business challenges and objectives to effectively position our solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to RFx coordination, product demos, presentations, negotiation, and closing. This includes developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified prospects, following up on leads, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Collaborate with teams across a specialist consultancy and the wider Reply Group—including marketing, consulting, product, support, and legal—to support the sales process and be the voice of the customer within your company
- To oversee the account management for new clients to ensure successful software implementation and adoption. Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
About the candidate:
- You have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any subject area
- 5+ years’ experience with success selling enterprise-level, complex software opportunities, with consistent quota achievement of a £1m+ quotas
- Strong track record in selling consultancy services, enterprise-grade software solutions and SaaS solutions
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, aligned with company goals and client needs, across the full sales cycle from prospect to close
- You are personable, trustworthy and able to connect with people at all levels within an organisation, bringing strong relationship-building skills with both prospects and clients
- A solid understanding of our market and its industry trends, our competitive landscape, the unique challenges faced by potential clients, and how technological advancements can impact our customers
