Workload Field CTO for Collaboration & Applications

Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Workload Field CTO for Collaboration & Applications (Official title: Applied Field Engineer for Collaboration & Applications). This strategic and technical leadership role will serve as a bridge between our product, platform, and go-to-market teams, with a strong focus on Snowflake’s capabilities in collaboration, data sharing, and application development. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with outstanding interpersonal skills to drive innovation, enable data ecosystem strategies, and foster collaboration across business units. This position demands a visionary who is equally comfortable discussing data architectures, building application experiences, and shaping strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, guiding them on how Snowflake’s collaboration and application features align with their business goals.

Drive the adoption of Snowflake’s Data Sharing, Data Clean Rooms, and Organization features to enable scalable data ecosystems.

Collaborate with product management and engineering to influence the roadmap based on customer feedback and innovation trends in the data collaboration space.

Technical Expertise:

Lead architectural discussions and solution designs focused on data mesh, multi-domain data governance, and inter-organizational collaboration.

Provide hands-on technical guidance in the implementation of Snowflake native applications, Streamlit dashboards, and Snowpark Container Services.

Stay current on developments in cloud platforms and data-sharing protocols, identifying integration opportunities with Snowflake’s platform.

Build strong relationships with key customers, acting as their advocate within Snowflake to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

Deliver compelling technical presentations, workshops, and demonstrations on Snowflake’s collaboration and application capabilities.

Partner with strategic customers to co-develop new collaborative use cases and application experiences that drive value.

Mentor internal teams on data sharing best practices, application development, and data mesh adoption.

Work with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align around customer outcomes and vertical-specific collaboration opportunities.

Contribute to Snowflake’s thought leadership through blogs, white papers, and public speaking engagements.

Technical Requirements:

Extensive Experience: Proven track record in a senior technical role, such as Principal Architect, Solutions Engineer, or Field CTO.

Snowflake Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Snowflake’s collaboration features, including Data Sharing, Clean Rooms, Listings, and Organization Development: Experience building with Snowflake’s application framework, including Streamlit, Snowpark, and Snowpark Container Services.

Data Architecture: Deep understanding of modern data architecture patterns, such as data mesh, decentralized governance, and multi-tenant SaaS models.

Cloud Platforms: Strong familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments and how they integrate with Snowflake.

Security & Governance: Knowledge of security practices related to data sharing, identity federation, and regulatory compliance.
