Are you a global capital markets technology product leader with an entrepreneurial streak, who would relish the opportunity and challenge of leading a new enterprise platform build which is set to play a key role in disrupting the traditional investment banking model?

Our client is a ‘new wave’ digital investment bank, a disruptive capital markets fintech building its own digital platforms to streamline front to back office trading processes in addition to issuance, distribution and custody of securities. In order to help realise their ambitions they're appointing a CPO who knows what it takes to build and scale great financial technology products and market infrastructure. As a key member of the executive team the CPO will build out the product function and team, leading and shaping the product vision and strategy for their disruptive digital capital markets infrastructure, which they also plan to commercialise in the future (think Blackrock Aladdin type model mixed with what the 10x Banking platform is doing for retail banking). This is a C level role, an appointment at a critical stage for our client so they are looking for a proven global leader who:
– Has international visionary product leadership experience at an executive level gained working for a capital markets technology vendor (not financial institution).
– A proven ability to execute product strategy across multiple strategic tracks – designing and owning a product delivery process.
– Understanding of how to scale a complex product and success within a high growth environment.
– A natural leader with a collaborative and influential communication style, who is both skilled at stakeholder management the leadership ability to manage and inspire international team members from different cultures and backgrounds.
– Commercially minded, able to link everything back to business outcomes. Ability to define the business case with a clear line of sight to revenue goals and the associated cost of investment, as well as quantifying any opportunity costs that may arise.
