Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to Healthwatch Bury, developing and implementing operational plans to achieve our mission.
  • Oversee programme management, ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and develop staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong partnerships with local health and social care providers, commissioners, and community groups.
  • Represent Healthwatch Bury at strategic meetings and public forums, amplifying the voices of service users.
  • Manage budgets, identify new funding opportunities, and ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of engagement activities to capture public experiences of health and social care services.

We are seeking someone with:

  • Proven leadership experience at a senior level, ideally within the voluntary, statutory, or independent sector.
  • A track record of strategic planning, change management, and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to inspire, persuade, and influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong financial management skills, including setting and monitoring budgets and putting together funding bids.
  • A commitment to tackling health inequalities and engaging with diverse communities.
