TEAM OVERVIEW
The Cultural Insight and Analytics (CIA) team in London is a group of 30+ specialists covering four principal craft areas of data and analytics: Business Intelligence, Audience & Data Strategy, Research & Insights and Advanced Analytics.
This role will be part of the Rufus Team (Initiative’s dedicated Amazon team) in the EMEA Hub, based in London and servicing the Amazon client teams in Europe.

ROLE OVERVIEW
This Director role will work across a number of Amazon business units in the EMEA hub, to proactively find and create solutions with data.
This is a consultative, technical role requiring previous hands-on experience of media data and infrastructure, with the expertise to understand client requirements, identify and design appropriate solutions and oversee implementation. In addition to technical proficiency, data story-telling through smart visualisations and extracting insights from data are critical requirements for this role.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess challenges and requirements, identify solutions and write SOWs for clients.
- Be responsible for the successful delivery of high profile and complex projects.
- Work with agency stakeholders, locally and globally to develop the solution / architecture for clients' BI solutions
- Bring data to life through analysis and visualisations to maximise decision making capabilities and create efficiencies.
- Work with the Global Rufus team on Global-led projects, often to translate and roll out solutions to meet European requirements.
- Manage relationships with senior client data leaders to understand their data needs and identify opportunities within their business.
- Be a thought-leader in the space, becoming a trusted advisor for senior clients
- Work with junior members of the BI team to deliver solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships across our IPG and MediaBrands partners to ensure strong collaboration and identify efficiencies and opportunities in our solutions.
- Connect with the other CIA functions to provide holistic solutions and services for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant experience of data, analytics and/or tech experience, ideally within a media environment.
- Experienced client partner who excels at developing trusted advisor relationships
- Excellent communicator at all levels of the business, able to talk plainly and simply about data and reporting.
- Strong familiarity with data quality principles and processes.
- Practical experience in agile ways of working.
- Good knowledge of the digital advertising and marketing eco-system, including the programmatic landscape.
- Comfortable with SQL, python and/or other coding languages
- Experience of using data visualisation solutions, especially Tableau or Quicksight.
