Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced commercial leader who is a results-driven individual to join our team as the Managing Director, Digital for Nielsen in EMEA. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets across the region. Your main responsibility will be to lead a high-performing team, develop and execute an effective sales strategy, and build strong relationships with digital platforms in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving revenue targets for the Digital business in EMEA.
  • Own and execute a sales strategy for the Digital business in EMEA.
  • Lead and inspire the Digital sales team to exceed the sales targets.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including post-sales servicing, customer success, marketing, product, and finance, to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strong partnerships to expand Nielsen's presence and market share amongst brands in EMEA.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients including platforms, networks, services, ad tech and creators acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify areas for growth and innovation.
  • Forecast sales performance, track progress and provide regular updates to the GM, EMEA.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in sales, preferably in the media, data, or analytics industry.
  • Track record of successfully driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets across EMEA region.
  • Previous experience in managing and leading a media sales team, with a proven ability to mentor and inspire individuals to achieve.
  • Established network of senior relationships within the media industry, including digital platforms, ad tech and the wider digital ecosystem in the EMEA region.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional European languages is a big plus.
  • Strong business acumen and proven experience of strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to and negotiating with c-level executives.
  • Ability to navigate complex businesses and manage multiple projects with both short and long sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international commercial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
