We are looking to recruit an exciting role within our Security & Resilience function. This is an operationally focussed role which involves maintaining a high benchmark to assure colleagues only have appropriate access for their role, minimising the potential damage from cybersecurity incidents.
The successful candidate shall be able to work with minimal guidance in the Identity & Access Management field and will take accountability for the day-to-day support of Identity tooling. The role has direct people management accountabilities of a small team of Identity Engineers and will provide the day-to-day task management for the team. The role will assist in developing the skills within the team to ensure expertise are in place to operate Identity Management controls across the business.
About the role
- Responsibility for the development of IAM Engineering, coaching members of the team to implement the technical components of the Identity strategy in alignment with Cyber strategy and the overarching business strategy.
- Responsibility for Cloud identity within the group, developing Cloud identity standards and measuring Royal London’s performance against them.
- Lead the Identity Engineering team in the development of technical processes, procedures, tools, and metrics for both Privileged Access Management & Identity Governance tooling to ensure tooling is operating optimally and within agreed SLAs.
- Substitute for the Head of Operational Security in management forums where required.
- Develop KRI reporting on effectiveness of Identity Management technical controls.
- Recommend tooling replacements/enhancements and service improvements including automation opportunities to help drive effective detection, containment and eradication of security threats.
- Responsible for remediating the technical risks faced by IAM, managing the control framework, implementing and embedding all elements of the Risk Management System (RMS).

- You will keep current in your knowledge of Identity Management best practice, attending key conferences etc. and recommend.
