We are looking for an Event Project Manager who will be key in providing integral support internally and steer and coordinate the planning process for respective event locations for Formula E!

The Role:

The Event Project Manager role will act as the right-hand person to the Senior Event Project Manager and/or Host City Director, providing integral support and working hand-in-hand on an event specific basis. You’ll proactively steer and coordinate the planning process for respective event locations, acting as a point of contact for race-specific enquiries and requests from internal and external departments. More widely across the business, and locally within the event market, in this role you will be the central point of coordination that pulls the event together holistically and is a key information source / problem solver, deputising for the Senior Event Project Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event management coordination: You’ll regularly chair event planning meetings, produce centralised planning documentation (e.g. the Event Management Plan) and event-specific scheduling activities to guide stakeholders and local teams on operational services deliverables such as venue access, event procedures, cleaning & waste management, and traffic management.
  • Local team interaction: A true ambassador to Formula E, you’ll work alongside Formula E’s in-market local teams across a range of topics supporting their operations and integration with the wider FE Team.
  • Seamless coordination & collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues across the business, you’ll to support their working processes and event-specific queries, acting as the Go To on an event basis.
  • Adept compliance management: Supporting internal compliance by working closely with our Sustainability, Legal and Auditing teams, you’ll be responsible in ensuring there is consistent and continuous compliance with internal project management tools and specific ISO certificate deliverables. You’ll also support with legacy and or community engagement elements, resolving issues pragmatically when they arise.
  • Supportive Team leader: You’ll contribute to the development of our Event Project Coordinator’s and Interns, ensuring they’re representing Formula E’s values externally.

What we\’re looking for in you:

  • Competent event experience: Demonstratable, hands-on experience within events and or sports events projects.
  • International Event Delivery: Proven experience in a similar position managing temporary events, ideally across international markets.
  • Proactive team-player: You’ll be comfortable solving problems and are able to recognise and contribute to tactical and operational activities when required.
  • Clear Communicator & relationship builder: You’re excellent at communicating information clearly and effectively to stakeholders, building robust relationships along the way.
  • Organised & efficient: With multiple priorities on the go, you’ll be organised with exceptional attention to detail, able to resolve problems before they arise.
  • Role Model and Leader : Calm and collected, you’ll be an excellent role model to our Event Coordinators, supporting them in their roles whilst also developing your leadership skills.
  • Ability to speak another language is a bonus but is not essential.
