Are you a passionate and experienced Pastoral Leader looking for flexibility and variety in your career? Tradewind is currently recruiting for a Pastoral Head of Year to work on a supply basis at a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Sheffield .

The Role:
As a Pastoral Head of Year , you will:

Lead on student welfare , behaviour, and attendance for a specific year group

Work closely with form tutors , SENCO , safeguarding teams , and senior leadership

Act as the main point of contact for students and parents around pastoral concerns

Promote a positive and inclusive school culture where every child feels safe and supported

Monitor attendance and behaviour data, implementing effective interventions when needed

Support students through key transition points (e.g. Year 7 entry or Year 11 exams)
What We\’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a pastoral leadership role (e.g. Head of Year, Year Manager, Pastoral Lead) in a secondary school

Strong knowledge of safeguarding , behaviour management , and student support systems

Excellent communication and leadership skills

A flexible, compassionate, and proactive approach

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
