Location: London (with regular travel to offices across the South East) Company Overview: Our client is a hugely successful, multi-branch estate agency with 11 offices strategically located across London and the South East. Established, respected, and results-driven, they are known for delivering exceptional service in residential sales, lettings, property management, and new homes. As they enter an exciting phase of growth and innovation, they are seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Director to lead their team and shape the future of the business. Role Overview: The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall performance, strategic direction, and continued growth of the business. You will provide inspirational leadership across all departments, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and compliance in a fast-paced and competitive marketplace. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the company’s long-term strategy and vision, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectives.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations across all branches, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and excellence in service delivery.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Set and monitor performance targets across sales and lettings; identify opportunities for market expansion and revenue diversification.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse management team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous professional development.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage P&L, budgeting, and financial planning to ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
  • Business Development: Develop strategic partnerships, identify acquisition opportunities, and explore new service lines to expand market presence.
  • Brand & Marketing: Champion the company’s brand, ensuring consistent messaging and market positioning across all platforms.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all activities meet regulatory and legal requirements, including AML, GDPR, and industry-specific standards (e.g. ARLA, NAEA).

Key Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience at a senior or board level, ideally within a multi-branch estate agency or property services business.
  • In-depth understanding of the London and South East property markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a successful track record of driving revenue growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to implement tactical business plans.
  • Experience in leading through change and managing business transformation.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., MARLA, MNAEA) desirable but not essential.
