Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Enterprise Integration Architect

LOCATION: Remote, Flexible working

TYPE: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)

Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. Operating for over 20 years in the London market, we handle insurance and reinsurance business, processing over £101 billion in premiums and claims. We are building a new digital platform to enhance transaction and money processing, aiming to improve efficiency and speed, and to foster innovation.

Velonetic is seeking a talented Enterprise Integration Architect to contribute to our digital transformation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Integration Architecture, Systems Integration, and API Management, with a strong understanding of the importance of efficient integration processes for business operations.

As part of our Enterprise Architecture team, the Enterprise Integration Architect will develop and lead the integration strategy aligned with our architectural principles and business goals. This role requires a strategic technology leader skilled in navigating complex technical landscapes and establishing governance frameworks for secure and seamless system integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the Enterprise Integration Strategy supporting business objectives.
  • Analyze business processes and requirements to produce high-quality integration designs, collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and standards organizations.
  • Customize industry-standard integration frameworks to support specific business needs.
  • Document the enterprise's integration value chain and key integration points.
  • Work with development teams to design and implement integration architecture, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Analyze existing systems and patterns to facilitate seamless integration and drive system design improvements.
  • Design data flows and integration patterns to support analytics, BI, and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with standards bodies to maintain global integration standards.
  • Define lifecycle management, non-functional requirements, and security protocols for integration.
  • Establish and oversee the governance framework for integration management.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing and gaining approval for complex integration solutions.
  • Stakeholder management skills, including with senior leaders and external partners.
  • Experience with industry-standard integration frameworks and insurance-specific patterns, especially in commercial insurance.
  • Knowledge across technical domains like microservices, legacy systems, and workflow management.
  • Experience in large-scale transformation projects, including migration from legacy to modern systems.
  • Expertise in designing integrations for BI, analytics, and machine learning on large datasets.
  • Understanding of security policies, compliance, and governance for integrations.
  • Experience working with standards organizations and frameworks like TOGAF.
