This is a superb opportunity for a Procurement professional to join an iconic London estate, responsible for a diverse and culturally enriched portfolio spanning first-class office space, exciting retail & leisure businesses, world-class healthcare providers, residential communities, and cutting-edge educational institutions.

You will be leading an existing in-house team that handles all procurement aspects related to the Estate’s operations. As the Head of Procurement, you will operate at both strategic and operational levels, setting and leading the procurement agenda across the organization. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to embed processes and principles that enhance operational efficiency and drive the business towards its strategic objectives.

Core responsibilities include:

  1. Lead high-value tenders and supplier engagements, focusing on delivering a net-zero carbon future.
  2. Continuously improve procurement processes and procedures based on best practices.
  3. Develop SLAs, KPIs, and ensure policy compliance.
  4. Monitor compliance with procurement policies internally and externally.
  5. Develop and manage formal supplier onboarding processes.
  6. Explore partnership opportunities with key service providers.
  7. Develop and agree on pricing frameworks with suppliers.
  8. Lead and develop the procurement team.

Candidate requirements:

  • CIPS qualified, working towards a CIPS qualification, or similar procurement certification.
  • Understanding of basic contracting principles under English Law.
  • Experience in the property sector, either directly or within a business managing a property portfolio as part of broader operations, is essential.
  • Motivated by targets, with the ability to think creatively, independently, and take initiative.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Highly collaborative approach with colleagues, peers, and external partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in defining requirements for supplier KPIs and SLAs in contracts.
  • Management experience with a proven track record of staff development.
  • Proficiency in systems used for contracts, supplier records, data management, and reporting.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI is advantageous.
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office 365. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, M-Files, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM is desirable.
