Description

This role offers a rare but fantastic opportunity to join a small, highly-effective Finance function and gain a broad range of experience in a fast-growing, profitable environment, for a six-month fixed-term contract.

This position is suitable for candidates eager to pursue a career within PE-backed organisations.

About the role

Due to strong organic growth and recent overseas acquisitions, the company seeks to appoint a Management Accountant to join their expanding Finance team. You will be responsible for producing management accounts for various group companies, including P&L variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow reports, as well as supporting the Senior Management Accountant with group financial reporting.

  • Prepare management accounts for group companies within agreed timelines, including variance commentary.
  • Maintain various balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, IT development costs, intercompany reconciliations, etc.) within deadlines.
  • Prepare departmental P&Ls for support function heads, including quarterly review meetings.
  • Assist with statutory accounts production for group companies.
  • Support the preparation of group corporation tax and VAT returns.
  • Assist with internal, interim, and year-end audits.
  • Develop and document internal controls and processes.
  • Manage intercompany settlements between group entities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Produce ad hoc analyses to support decision-making.

About you

We\’re seeking a nearly or newly qualified ACA Accountant (or equivalent), or a qualified Management Accountant with experience in Insurance.
