Overview

As an Account Director, you will oversee one of Sky 's priority business units – TV, Connectivity, or Content – playing a key role in shaping digital media strategy. You will act as the primary client contact, ensuring smooth day-to-day account management and execution of multi-channel media strategies across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic. Your role will involve working with senior stakeholders to develop and implement effective digital plans while ensuring high-quality campaign delivery and performance.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on digital media planning and performance.
  2. Manage and coordinate budgets across paid digital media channels.
  3. Oversee campaign execution, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic.
  4. Work closely with channel specialists to refine and implement innovative media strategies.
  5. Ensure high levels of accuracy in campaign activation, optimization, and reporting.
  6. Identify opportunities for testing and innovation in the digital space and collaborate with teams to execute initiatives.
  7. Support senior leadership in key client meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning.
  8. Provide insights and recommendations based on industry trends to improve client outcomes.
  9. Guide and mentor junior team members to enhance performance and career development.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in digital media planning or account management, ideally at an Account Director level.
  2. Strong background in performance marketing across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic.
  3. Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
  5. Experience managing large, complex accounts with multiple priorities.
  6. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to campaign management and team collaboration.

Must Have:

  1. Extensive prior experience in a digital focused planning role, with proven experience in project management and strong digital performance knowledge across Paid Search, Programmatic & Paid Social.
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to engage with multiple client contacts & internal team members.
  3. Well versed in receiving and responding to client briefs with clear KPIs and digital media strategies.
  4. Ability to build relationships with 3rd parties and work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  5. Operational experience working on large complex accounts with numerous products, stakeholders, goals and priorities.
  6. A critical thinker in your day-to-day and able to operate independently to solve challenges and navigate novel situations. Be solution driven, innovative and proactive with how you manage planning & operational processes.
  7. Be strategic and commercially minded in planning goals for your teams, as well as being able to shape and develop paid media strategy with client's business goals in mind.
