Play a critical role in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for Documentary Trade Products booked and originated from the UK. This includes product design, development, financial performance monitoring, risk management, and product governance. The role also involves close collaboration with Sales and Coverage Teams to develop and execute relevant deal pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
The Documentary Trade pillar is central to the UK Trade Growth strategy. The focus is to maintain SCB’s leadership in the documentary trade space and enhance its competitive position by:
- Offering market-leading product solutions to corporate clients
- Collaborating with other Fis leveraging the SCB network as a differentiator
- Improving efficiency and driving growth through digital solutions and third-party platforms
- Maximizing revenue while managing costs and reducing risk-weighted assets
Financial Performance
- Manage product ownership across UK TB Trade for Documentary trade products across segments
- Provide strategic direction and support business development in Europe
- Engage with sales and support teams for transaction prospecting and closure
- Responsible for delivering the UK Documentary Trade Budget and managing revenue, costs, and capital
- Execute product deployment and enhancements
Client Engagement
- Support RFPs and critical transactions for strategic clients
- Maintain high client contact through forums, events, and meetings
- Monitor and analyze competitive positioning
- Represent client needs in global initiatives
- Support sales campaigns for wallet expansion
Brand, Marketing & Training
- Conduct training for internal stakeholders on product knowledge
- Build partnerships with third-party platforms and vendors
Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years in Product Management within international trade banking
- Knowledge of SWIFT, ICC Rules, and market forums
- Understanding of financial regulations including Basel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
