Tech Stack: Python, C#/.NET, Azure, SQL Server, Azure DevOps A growing systematic hedge fund is looking to hire a senior-level technologist to support the development of its trading and research infrastructure. The firm is expanding its technology capabilities and building out a small, high-impact team. This hire could either be a Senior Developer ready to grow into a broader leadership role or an experienced Technical Architect with proven delivery experience in financial markets.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, pragmatic, and capable of balancing strategic design with day-to-day development. This is not a management-heavy role; the team is lean, so the ability and willingness to code daily is essential. Experience working at a mid-sized hedge fund or asset manager is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build data pipelines to ingest and process large volumes of financial data from various vendors
- Collaborate with researchers and traders to develop and support high-performance trading systems
- Develop monitoring tools and dashboards to ensure system stability
- Lead the adoption of best practices in software development, testing, and deployment
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers as the team grows
- Take a lead role in shaping the firm’s technical architecture and infrastructure strategy
Requirements:
