SEI’s Private Banking & Wealth Management business is seeking an experienced Sales professional to join us as a Business Development Director. You will be responsible for establishing, developing, and closing new business sales opportunities, primarily within the UK market. Your target prospects will include wealth managers such as Private Banks, Advisers, and Private Client Investment Managers.
What you’ll do:
- Utilize your relationship skills and network to maximize current relationships, develop new ones, prospect target clients, and close new business.
- Generate leads proactively through research and networking, positioning SEI and our capabilities, including the SEI Wealth Platform (SWP), to wealth managers.
- Prepare for initial prospect meetings, develop strategies, and execute sales processes to close deals.
- Attend industry events, gather market intelligence, and stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market forces.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Solutions, PMO, Legal, Relationship Managers) to meet client needs and develop innovative solutions.
- Support a smooth transition of new clients to our relationship and service teams after closing deals.
- Adhere to risk management policies, escalate incidents, and complete required training.
What we need from you:
- Proven success in a Business Development role within financial services, involving relationship management, technical sales, or solution development.
- Understanding of the UK Wealth Management market and a strong professional network.
- Experience influencing decision-making processes within wealth management organizations and managing high-value outsourcing arrangements.
- Skills in cold calling, networking, and prospecting, with an existing contact list being advantageous.

- SMCR Category: Certified role under FCA rules.
