About the role
We’ve got a great opportunity to join our Branch Systems team – the people behind the systems used across all our Booker and Makro business centres.
This team looks after our in-house applications (known as MIDAS) and works closely with both our Development and Operations teams to make sure everything runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
As an IS Analyst, you’ll be helping us spot and report any bugs or issues in the MIDAS systems. You’ll be part of a supportive team that plays a key role in keeping our tech running the way it should.
If you’ve got a technical background and some experience in software testing, that’s a big plus – but most importantly, we’re looking for someone who’s curious, detail-focused, and enjoys problem solving.
You will be responsible for
- Providing technical trouble shooting and analytical skills.
- Showcasing good technical documentation skills, reviewing / writing technical documentation with development teams and specialists.
- Creation of support documentation, and occasional delivery of training for internal users.
- Ability to prioritise activities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers combined with a “can-do” attitude.
You will need
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- A strong background in testing (primarily manual testing)
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality results.
- Knowledge of wholesale industry business processes.

On the occasions where we have high volumes of applicants, some roles may close earlier than the advertised end date in order for us to manage all of the applicants appropriately. We will only be able to offer individual feedback to those candidates who attend an interview.
*Booker Group is part of Tesco plc, however, is operated separately from the core Tesco business and as such the benefits offered will be different from those offered at Tesco*
