Job Purpose

This role focuses on creating and governing Regulatory data and information models aligned with FAIR-QT principles to ensure storage, accessibility, and the consistent provisioning of fit-for-purpose data for Regulatory R&D teams. Collaborating with the Regulatory team, you will drive the information architectural vision for regulatory data consumption and usage, while embedding robust data governance and transparent ownership. Additionally, you will oversee the design and management of data pipelines and structures, ensuring high-quality data that is critical to advancing GSK’s AI initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement a vision and strategy to create and govern regulatory information models to enable storage & accessibility in alignment with the R&D Data Platforms.

  • Ensure alignment of governance and data management practice by partnering with enterprise-wide information and data architects, ontology management, data governance groups

  • Perform a comprehensive assessment of regulatory documents and associated data sources.

  • Create and maintain regulatory data information models

  • Provide coaching and advice to ensure that regulatory R&D teams produce data and metadata products following industry’s best practices and FAIR-QT principles

  • Serve as a bridge between business and tech teams to ensure consistent communication regarding data information model

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Strong understanding of data information modeling and governance principles, including experience with data curation and data governance initiatives, such as business data glossaries and Collibra Data Governance Center.

  • Proficiency in Master Data Management (MDM), including the design and implementation of data integration flows between MDM and other systems.

  • Ability to utilize tools like Erwin Data Modeler to create and maintain data architecture, including data models, data flows, and data standards.

  • Agile mindset with the ability to iterate and drive improvements based on stakeholder feedback.

  • Educated to degree level, or undergraduate level or equivalent experience in IT.

  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development environment, and R&D processes and objectives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

  • Experience with cloud data management, integration, and data platform analytics, as well as machine learning applications.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advanced systems such as knowledge graphs both RDF and LDF (e.g., Stardog, Neo4j), and document vector store technologies.

  • Familiar with the overall concept of Regulatory Submission Management and the connections between various regulatory systems and associated processes.
