About the Role:
We’re recruiting on behalf of a local authority seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Social Worker to join their Early Help & Prevention team within Adult Social Care.
This role involves managing a complex caseload, supervising and mentoring social care staff, and leading best practice in strength-based, person-centered interventions. You’ll play a key role in supporting vulnerable adults to live independently and safely in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor a small team of social workers and care officers
Lead on high-risk adult safeguarding and mental capacity cases
Promote early intervention and person-centered support planning
Work closely with internal teams and external agencies for holistic care delivery
Take part in quality assurance, audits, and service development
Represent the team in multi-agency panels and professional meetings
Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
2–3+ years’ post-qualified experience in adult social care
Strong knowledge of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
Confident in clinical supervision, coaching, and decision-making
Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., MOSAIC or similar)
Full UK driving license (or willingness to travel within the region)
