Senior IT Procurement Lead – Innovative FTSE 100 Major – Sheffield – £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Package
Due to colossal expansion over the last decade, this cutting edge FTSE 100 firm is seeking an experienced IT procurement professional to join its growing team. As Senior IT Procurement Lead you will manage and mentor a Technology Sourcing Specialist, be considered a subject matter expert for best-in-class strategic sourcing, and spearhead key strategic projects for the IT Category.
As well as overseeing key strategic sourcing engagements across all IT & Technology categories, and owning the end to end procurement process including complex RFPs / RFIs, you will be expected to achieve promotion to Head of IT Procurement within 2 years.
As Senior IT Procurement Lead you will:-
- Enjoying large-scale autonomy over the end-to-end procurement process for a wide array of IT & Technology categories (circa £100m+)
- Being considered the subject matter expert for best-in-class Strategic Sourcing for Technology
- Managing and mentoring an experienced IT Procurement Specialist, helping in their development and progression within the firm
- Developing effective relationships with executive and board-level stakeholders, demonstrating a full understanding of their drivers & requirements and providing innovative support & solutions
Required criteria to be successful for Senior IT Procurement Lead:-
- Strong procurement and strategic sourcing knowledge across indirect categories, with recent IT & Technology Procurement experience, ideally within a FTSE 250 / Fortune 500 firm
- Impeccable track record of successfully managing the cradle-to-grave procurement process (ITT, RFQ, RFP, contract drafting & negotiation, Supplier & Stakeholder Management)
- Evidence of progression / promotion within your procurement & sourcing career to date (e.g. Buyer – Senior Buyer, Procurement Manager, Category Manager)
- Degree / MCIPS (or studying towards)
