Job Description

Consultant, Mumbai (Global Public & Corporate Affairs Consultancy)

We have been exclusively briefed on a role with a global consultancy in the Public & Corporate Affairs space that is now looking for a Project Manager (Director level) to be based in Mumbai and support a new regional project for a leading natural resources conglomerate in the region.

This is an 18-month contract (subject to extension), ideal for someone with global experience in govt/community relations and stakeholder management.

Note: This role is to be based in Mumbai. Please only apply if you are interested in being relocated there for 18 months to two years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning, governance, and execution to drive a transformative stakeholder relations initiative for the client.
  • Manage client relationships to ensure alignment, impact, and satisfaction.
  • Build and enhance the client’s capabilities in stakeholder relations, with a focus on community relations, government engagement, and communications.
  • Oversee industrial operations-related aspects of the project.
  • Implement systems and processes to ensure the project hits the ground running and delivers measurable outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Ideally, 7+ years of experience in management consultancy or managing large-scale projects with a focus on project planning, community relations, governance, and client relationship management.
  • Technical knowledge of India or stakeholder relations is less critical, as other team members will provide this expertise.
  • Fluent English capabilities.
  • Ideally based full-time in Mumbai. Relocation support will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of driving progress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring seamless collaboration and project success.
