An exciting opportunity in our London office is available for an experienced, creative, and motivated Head of Sustainability/Sustainability Lead to deliver projects, grow our business and manage the UK team. You will be collaborating with the best in the business, undertaking technical responsibility and delivery of Building Physics and Sustainability output on projects across various sectors, including design and analysis on building physics, carbon reduction, sustainable building design, and engineering projects. The role includes delivering sustainable and low-energy design projects in the built environment working closely with clients to help them predict, assess and improve their sustainability performance through a collaborative and well-organized approach. You’ll also be responsible for growing the Sustainability function within Inhabit, providing strategic direction and leading business development opportunities in order to develop the team into a core strand of the business offering. It will also involve collaborating with experts based out of Australasia, Hong Kong, and the UAE, each leading their own sustainability teams. The Inhabit Europe team provides design solutions that focus on environmental assessment certification, energy and carbon management, whole life carbon assessment, building physics, environmental engineering including daylight, sunlight, wind analysis, air quality, water conservation, flood risk, and SUDS. You would be expected to lead this team across each of these fields, in multiple sectors and countries. Lead the Sustainability Team to deliver sustainability assessment and design consultancy services within the built environment industry; Conduct calculations, computer modelling, and prepare professional consultancy reports, proposals, or presentations; Project management, delivery, and senior stakeholder management; Business development for the Sustainability Team through new and existing client base; Develop ongoing strategy to grow and develop Inhabit’s Sustainability business offering; Degree holder in engineering/science related to green building, civil & environmental, sustainability, building services, mechanical & electrical or equivalent; Extensive experience in green building assessment, sustainability assessment consultancy services; Experience of working on projects in the Middle East would be advantageous; Maintain an established understanding of building physics such as thermal bridging, air movement, wind, solar, etc.;
