Job Description
Pure Search are instructed by a leading UK law firm who are looking to expand their Contentious Construction team at 4-7PQE.
The Firm:
Our client has a long-standing reputation for both Real Estate and Construction, with several of their partners considered some of the leading names in the construction market. The Construction team have worked on some of London's landmark projects including 100 Bishopsgate and Battersea Power Station.
Our client is a firm who are very proud of their culture with a vast international network but with a clear focus on their lawyers having flexibility and a genuine work/life balance, with c.1300 billable target hours and bonuses in excess of 30%.
The Role:
Joining a well-balanced team, with an even split of partners and associates, you will work across both domestic and international construction, engineering, PFI/PP and major projects including:
- Disputes concerning contractual interpretation – JCT, NEC, FIDIC;
- Payment disputes;
- Delay and extension of time;
- Defects, professional negligence, termination and insolvency;
- Strategic advice.
The team have been involved in some of the most noteworthy construction disputes of the past decade and this role offers someone the scope to take on a consistently high standard of work with significant autonomy to run your own caseload.
About You:
You will be an England & Wales qualified Solicitor with at least 3.5 years post-qualification experience at a Legal 500 ranked practice for construction litigation. You will have had experience dealing directly with clients, have a keen interest in business development and marketing initiatives and be comfortable supervising junior fee earners.
