OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE
MUFG Bank, Ltd., London Branch or [MUFG Bank Europe N.V. (āMBEā)]
Supporting and/or leading the origination and execution of new Working Capital Finance solutions including Supply Chain Finance, Inventory Finance and Prepayment Finance in the Securitised Products & Supply Chain Finance (SP&SCF) team to assist with the O&D strategy to increase distribution velocity in the SP&SCF portfolio.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Origination of new Supply Chain Finance, Inventory and Prepayment Finance transactions collectively referred to as āWorking Capital Financeā solutions to existing and prospective new clients of MUFG in EMEA.
- Prepare marketing materials to assist in origination of new Working Capital Finance transactions with particular focus on leading and/or supporting the origination and execution of these transactions
- Work with Working Capital Distribution desk to promote a syndicated transaction on all new originations with prospect clients
- Support internal awareness of working capital finance products in EMEA and assist with growth in new markets in the middle east
- Support growth of Working Capital Finance product through New Product Approvals or āwhite papersā
- Prepare and present internal Deal Screening submissions and prepare Structural Risk Memoranda in respect of new and renewed transactions for Working Capital Finance products
- Work with the Working Capital Distribution team to assist in the syndication of all new transactions by preparing investor term sheets, teasers and joining investor calls to explain the structure
- Manage the documentation process, review, discuss/liaise with internal and external legal counsel (as appropriate), and negotiate with the client, relevant documentation for new transactions, renewals and amendments for allocated transactions in compliance with the bankās credit and operation rules.
- Review transaction documentation and prepare the pre-signing and post-closing checklists to ensure smooth and accurate and efficient transfer of monitoring tasks to the monitoring team
- Develop and maintain a strong network of partnerships with distribution, credit, relationship teams, and other product teams, including support functions within MUFG, in order to effectively grow and sustain the franchise.
- Work on return enhancing and/or distribution projects using securitisation structures to facilitate risk weighting efficiencies and distribute working capital transactions.
- Lead and/or contribute to internal projects / strategic initiatives designed to improve the GCIB Securitised Products and Supply Chain Finance team and Bankās efficiency and performance.
- If required, represent MUFG at external forums and contribute to technical industry discussions in order to promote the Bankās products and services.
- Provide guidance to junior colleagues in relation to specific projects or tasks.
- Assist in maintaining a record of Working Capital Finance portfolio revenues, exposure, utilisation and profitability
Work Experience
- Relevant experience (minimum 5 years) and knowledge of Supply Chain Finance and Inventory Finance (particularly in the EMEA region)
- Experience in Working Capital Finance origination is a preference
- Financial Analysis experience is a plus
