MCS Group is looking for a Data Analyst for a 6 month contract in Belfast! This Data Analyst will work with SQL, Predictive Analytics, and Financial Data to help deliver data solutions for the financial industry. This Data Analyst will work with real-world data to drive predictive analytics, enabling some of the world's largest financial institutions to make smarter, data-driven decisions. The Role You will play a pivotal role in writing and optimising database queries with good quality SQL, supporting complex data processes, and delivering production support. You'll work with sensitive and impactful human data, leveraging it to provide actionable insights. This Data Analyst will design, write, and optimise SQL queries to facilitate ETL. You will analyse and interpret real-life data to uncover patterns and trends. Additionally, you will support and troubleshoot data processes within production, ensuring data integrity and operational continuity. The Person You will have advanced skills in writing, optimising, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries in large data-sets (extensive, demonstrable experience is essential.) Ideally, you will previously have worked with financial data-sets. Prior experience working in an AWS environment is preferred. This role requires solid MS Excel experience, including look-ups and VBA. This Data Analyst should also have demonstrable expertise with a BI reporting tool (PowerBI, Qlikview or Tableau).
