We are seeking applications for the post of NurseryAssistant for The Beeches Nursery in Aghalee Co. Antrim. Main role: Responsible for the provision of planned programs of care, which ensures the safety and well-being of children Responsible for the agreed implementation and provision of a range of activities and intervention strategies designed to maximise the potential of learning opportunitioes for childern within a nurturing environment Duties will include: Supervision of childern to ensure their safety The provision of appropriate personal care to children, changing nappies/clothes as necessary, supervising toileting and personal hygiene routines Following structured activity programs, arranging naps/rest periods, playtimes as agreed for each child To be available at all times to talk to, listen, comfort and encourage the childeren in your care Implement agreed policies and procedures in place in the unit To contribute to the maintenance of records as required by the manager Participate in staff development and in-service training as required Liaise with parents and other professionals as necessary Ensure the procedures are adhered to in respect of: Health and Safety, Fire Prevention and Confidentiality Hours of Work: up to 27 hours per week (Monday, Friday full days & Tuesday, Wednesday afternoons each week). Caring for childern aged 1 to 10 years. A full job description and specification will be provided with our application form. Essential criteria: Good communication skills are essential Desirable criteria: Level 2 Childcare or equivalent is preferred but not essential as full training will be given Experience preferred but full training will be given Full clean driving license Child protection certificate Job offer subject to satisfactory references, Access NI Enhanced check and Health Questionnaire and Social Service Clearance check.
