Hello! We're Teya.
Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance. At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.
We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street. We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters. We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us. Become a part of our story.
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits. Your Mission
As our People Systems Architect, your mission is to build the platform – or connected set of platforms that powers how the People team serves every Teyan. You’ll ensure that our systems are not just functional, but intuitive, integrated, and designed to make People processes invisible where they can be, and seamless where they must be. Whether a Teyan is onboarding, getting promoted, seeking support, or navigating change – your goal is to ensure the experience is smooth, consistent, and effective. You’ll treat every Teyan as a customer, building a service mindset into our systems and using every interaction as an opportunity to improve. Your work will free up time for our teams to focus on what matters most – the missions they came to Teya to solve. What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and evolve our People systems as a unified platform – ensuring they support the Teyan experience across the entire lifecycle. You’ll start with HiBob but think beyond it: integration, automation, and a single point of entry are your north star.
- Build scalable workflows that eliminate manual tasks, reduce friction for Teyans and the People team, and reflect our policies and structures accurately.
- Champion a customer experience mindset in everything you build: how would we design this if Teyans were our customers, and every interaction was a product moment?
- Connect systems and insights – whether through APIs, dashboards, or reporting – so we can translate every action into insight and every insight into improvement.
- Serve as the People team’s main interface with Tech and Security, managing system access, permissions, and compliance requirements while enabling speed and simplicity.
- Lead the implementation of new modules or tools that enhance performance, compensation, or lifecycle workflows – from testing through go-live and training.
- Drive data integrity and structured governance – ensuring our records are clean, auditable, and actionable.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports that help the People team, Finance and leadership understand trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Train and empower the People team – helping every team member get the most from our tools and platforms and identify new ways to make their work smoother.
- Continuously scan for opportunities to remove waste, automate requests, and eliminate friction for Teyans and People users alike.
Your Story
- 5–8 years of experience managing or scaling People systems — ideally with HiBob, but broader exposure to HR platforms and tooling is a plus.
- Experience integrating multiple platforms into one seamless employee experience, with a strong understanding of workflows, system design, and stakeholder needs.
- Proven ability to translate complex People processes into simple, scalable system workflows that create clarity and reduce time spent.
- Customer-obsessed mindset — you care deeply about the experience of those using your tools and act quickly when things don’t work.
- Strong working knowledge of system integrations, data models, and lifecycle events — you know how to automate, structure, and govern.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally — especially with Tech, Legal, Finance, and People teams — and navigating multiple priorities.
- Bonus: experience with reporting tools like Tableau, Looker, or SQL – especially if you’re comfortable working with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake to shape data, power dashboards, and structure reports. Even better if you’ve worked in a high-growth or international environment, where systems needed to scale fast and insights needed to flow seamlessly across teams.
- You’re proactive, pragmatic, and always looking for ways to simplify and improve.
The Perks
- We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long it suits both you and your team;
- Physical and mental health support through our partnership with GymPass giving free access to over 1,500 gyms in the UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation sessions, digital fitness and nutrition apps;

- Health and Life Insurance;
- Pension Scheme;
- 25 days of Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays);
- Office snacks every day;
- Friendly, comfortable and informal office environment in Central London.
