An exciting opportunity has emerged within our Newham service for a Criminal Justice Team Leader to join our vibrant team, committed to supporting individuals with drug and/or alcohol issues involved in the criminal justice system.

Location: Barnet

Hours Full Time: 37.5 hours per week – there may be a need to work Saturdays with a day off in lieu

Full Time Salary Range: £35,220.59 – £37,184.91 , Dependent on experience, paid Pro Rata for part time hours

Allowance: £2,195.72 Outer London Weighting Pro Rata

Contract Type : Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

  • As a Team Leader, you will provide guidance, support, and direction to a team of dedicated recovery workers.
  • Your role involves operational line management of your team, including supervision, appraisal, performance, and sickness management.
  • Empowering your staff to instill hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities in service users, enabling them to realise their full potential, is a crucial aspect of your role.
  • You\’ll collaborate with various Criminal Justice Agencies, such as police, probation, court staff, and liaison and diversion partners, to develop pathways and mutual ways of working for optimal outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with local prisons to ensure seamless transitions for service users upon release is another key component of your role.

To excel in this role:

  • We seek an individual with substantial experience in the substance misuse or criminal justice sector.
  • You should possess knowledge and experience in developing and leading health and social care services, delivering services that demonstrate high performance and quality standards.
  • Significant experience in leading teams working with families under social care intervention is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with current legislation surrounding children, young people, and safeguarding practice is essential.
  • You should have the ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in common MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
