Retail Supervisor Apprentice in Wood Green
40 hours per week
At Toolstation, we don’t just help our trade and DIY customers to get the job done better every time. We do the same for our people. So, join our Apprenticeship programme and we’ll help you develop all the skills you need to become a potential future leader.
This isn’t your average store job. In fact, many of our Senior Managers started their careers on the shop floor, so it’s a great way to pick up useful skills for the future. Understanding the business, relationship building, self-motivation – you name it and we’ll help you develop it, so you have everything you need to reach your full potential. Whether that’s at Toolstation, or in the wider Travis Perkins group.
You’ll be a permanent member of our team, holding the role of Supervisor, supporting the Store Manager while also studying towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Building relationships. As the face of Toolstation, you’ll create brilliant customer relationships.
Motivating. Supporting your team and creating a positive culture to make your store a fantastic place to work.
You’ll also take the lead on:
Sales and service. Growing commercial sales through repeat customers and brand loyalty.
Stock and process. Making sure our customers can always find the products they’re looking for, so they come back to us time and time again.
What you\’ll bring
Hard work and passion. You don’t need any retail experience. You just need to be over 18, with a passion for people gained as a supervisor or team leader.
Energy and curiosity. A desire to learn fast and work hard. We\’ll teach you the rest.
What you\’ll get
You’ll be joining a stable and growing business, with plenty of opportunities to take your retail career as far as you want – up the ladder, into different Toolstation teams or across the Travis Perkins Group. And because we want to do our best for you, you’ll be supported all the way.
Plus, you\’ll receive some of the best benefits in retail. So, as well as 22 days’ holidays + Bank Holidays, company pension scheme and life assurance, we offer a bonus scheme, cycle to work scheme, save and buy as you earn, a range of family friendly policies designed to help you through life’s most challenging times, 20% discounts across all Travis Perkins companies, financial support, recognition awards and discounts at over 1000 other retailers.
We’re driving to become a truly inclusive employer, where everyone in our Group feels safe, welcome and confident to be their authentic selves – you be you, it makes us, us, as we say. If you’re interested in this opportunity but you think you might not have exactly the right experience, please apply anyway. You might be just the person we’re looking for in this or another role.
