Deputy Head of Stage

We seek an enthusiastic, skilled, and self-motivated individual to join our team as Deputy Head of Stage at the Playhouse Theatre, home to the current Olivier Award-winning production of Cabaret. This role offers the opportunity to lead stage and building requirements, support a long-running production, and oversee building maintenance projects over the coming year.

As Deputy Head of Stage, you will support the Head of Stage with the daily technical operations of the theatre. Your responsibilities include assisting with get-ins, fit-ups, and get-outs of new productions and visiting events, as well as maintaining the theatre to ensure high standards of service for visiting companies.

To succeed, you should be a clear communicator, able to work closely with the Head of Stage and Technical & Building Manager. Building strong relationships with visiting companies, the venue team, colleagues in London theatres, ATG\’s central services, contractors, and suppliers is crucial. The role balances practical technical work with departmental management; please note that regular evening and weekend work will be required.
