YOUR ROLE
As a Content Designer, you will be joining the growing and exciting Digital Excellence community who are continually sharing knowledge and expertise. We are all passionate about userâcentred design, critical thinking, problem solving and designing and building digital services and products.
You will champion inclusive design practices throughout our project lifecycles, ensuring solutions are accessible to as many users as possible. This includes engaging with diverse user research, applying accessibility guidelines and legislation, and advocating for inclusive design principles in your deliverables.
Working at Capgemini Invent would give you opportunities to develop and grow, working with major clients in both the public and private sector. Our offices are in a variety of locations including London, Manchester and Glasgow. We offer hybrid working; however, depending on your project you may have to travel to client locations.
As a Content Designer you will:
- Identify and build strong relationships with clients across projects, influencing and collaborating with them on the content
- Create and iterate accurate userâcentred content to a high standard that meets user needs
- Use analytics data, user feedback and user research to identify the needs of users and map user journeys
- Make complex language and processes easy to understand
- Bring new ideas and challenge the status quo
- Be an advocate for userâcentred design, iterative and agile approaches
YOU ROLE
You will bring below skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of userâcentred design principles and best practice
- Experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams to design and deliver userâcentred services
- Experience of designing content for diverse users including accessibility and assisted digital needs
- You will either already have SC (Security Check) Clearance or you are able to qualify for this level of clearance (by being a UK resident for at least 3 years and not having left the country for more than 6 consecutive months during this period)
- Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, applying GDS design principles
- Experience working with relevant accessibility standards and legislation, such as the Web Content Accessibility Regulations (WCAG)
- Experience writing inclusive content in plain English
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Ideally, you would also have:
- Experience working in sectors that operate in complex regulatory environments (e.g. healthcare or public sector) or performing a consulting function to private sector clients
- Certifications in accessibility (CPACC, WAS, CPWA) or working towards
- Experience testing and auditing assistive technology (JAWS, Dragon, ZoomText) and accessibility features for Windows and macOS
- Certification and/or qualifications in Service Design or Design Thinking
- Experience in running training around Service Design or Design Thinking
- Experience managing and leading high performing teams
- Experience working with various tools such as Miro, Mural, Teams, PowerPoint
