Role Description:

As ADI expands into new product and market segments, the Precision Convertor Group is looking for a highly skilled Analog I.C. Design Engineer.

The UK design office based in Newbury has an opening for a principal I.C. Design to support the Precision Converter group. As a principal Analog IC Design Engineer, you will perform a full range of product development activities including, but not limited to:

  • Transistor-level circuit design and simulation

  • Architect, implement and analyze trade-offs of analog blocks

  • CMOS and bipolar amplifier design

  • RF system design and verification

  • Understanding of device-level operation and physics

  • System and block level circuit simulation and modelling

  • Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit problems in the laboratory

  • Interface with test, product and applications engineering to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release

  • Coordinate and support analog layout

You will play an integral part in the development of our products.

Requirements:

  • (BEng/MEng/PhD) with 15+ years experience in analog design

  • Strong background in device physics and semiconductor processing

  • Familiar with analog and digital design, simulation and modelling

  • Motivated, results oriented and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation and overall communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment

  • Knowledge of general lab equipment

  • Any programming knowledge, Verilog, MATLAB and Labview experience is also relevant to the position

  • Must be self-directed, detail-oriented and thorough

  • The candidate should be highly motivated, keen to learn from peers and able to demonstrate strong initiative.
