Due to continued growth in our award-winning Pension Risk Transfer business, we are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Calculations Consultants to join our PRT Client Services team.
As a Senior Calculations Consultant, your main responsibility will be calculating individual Defined Benefits quotations from various schemes, ensuring smooth administration and ongoing management of our Defined Benefit Pension schemes.
This role is ideal for someone with significant pensions administration experience, enjoys technical and complex work, and has demonstrable experience with DB Pension schemes.
This is a hybrid working role, allowing you to split your week between home and our Glasgow offices for work/life balance.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Leading in the calculation of Defined Benefits quotations and designing & issuing non-standard communications to scheme members
- Ensuring accurate benefit calculations and quality checks before issuance
- Providing efficient administration and claims services to scheme members, Trustees, and intermediaries
- Staying updated with pensions legislation and acting as a technical SME
- Facilitating valuations, data updates, and bulk transfers as needed
- Managing onboarding of new DB Pension schemes into L&G
- Updating internal customers and third parties with key information
- Designing and implementing training to improve customer outcomes
Who we\’re looking for:
- Pension Qualification such as CII or PMI, or equivalent experience in DB Pensions
- Strong understanding of DB Pension schemes and legislation
- Customer-oriented with effective relationship management skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
