STOCK Manager
An exciting opportunity for a Stock Manager has opened at our Micheldever site in Greenford. Reporting directly to the Site Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing inventory within a warehouse environment.
Shift Pattern – Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
How Will You Contribute
- Ensuring accurate stock counts through perpetual inventory and other stock checks.
- Maintaining stock integrity
- Conducting investigations into stock discrepancies and anomalies.
- Maintaining a high level of count accuracy during stock audits.
- Optimizing storage space and ensuring efficient stock rotation.
- Supporting the operations team to achieve product batch integrity
- Investigating all stock related discrepancies, adjusting stock levels where applicable and providing trend analysis for the same
- Working closely with the team at all levels to drive continuous improvement in terms of stock accuracy
- Ensuring processes and reporting meet both the customers daily needs and contractually agreed targets
- Creating and maintaining an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working
- Promoting high standards and ensuring compliance to all legislative requirements
The Person
- Experience of managing or working within a stock and process team environment.
- Experience of managing a team, preferably across a shift system.
- Warehouse or supply chain background.
- Customer focused with attention to detail.
- Reliability and flexibility with shift working including weekends.
- Experience of working within a stock and inventory team is desirable, but not essential.
- Good IT skills.
- Must be a confident communicator.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Excel at Intermediate or above.
- Actively contributing to a “Safety First” culture on site.
- Completing stock and inventory tasks, including goods in and order well management .
- Supporting KPI improvement through appropriate process .
- Liaise with other departments to ensure effective teamwork and efficiency across the site (One Team philosophy).
- Resolving stock issues in a timely and cost-effective manner using appropriate escalation if required
- To support the accurate and timely reporting of daily/weekly/period key performance indicators regarding stock issues
- Reporting to the Senior Team Manager & Site Manager.
- Escalating issues that may affect the department, site, or customer relationships. Communicating effectively with team members, managers, and other stakeholders.
