We are seeking a motivated and results-driven EU Finance Director, based in our Bradford office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis over business performance and trends.
- Direct functions in EU (including A/R, A/P, FA, accruals & restructure provisions).
- Oversee company assets.
- Identify financial & tax risks and opportunities within EU and present to management.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and maintain banking relationships to optimize cash utilization and mitigate risks.
- Lead the financial planning process for EU, in alignment with corporate objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with US-GAAP, SOX, and other (local) regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with corporate tax directors and advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations (including planning and reporting) in various EU tax regimes.
- Provide support and facilitate local and international audit processes.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, guiding, coaching, and supporting high performance; cooperate with corporate BU and divisional controllers.
Requirements
- BA in Financial/Controlling Studies, or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience in US-GAAP, EU accounting policies & regulations.
- Significant experience in accounting and financial reporting in international production companies.
- Experience as legal director of EU countries.
- Experience in EU & US business culture & customs.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and European accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage international accounting teams remotely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP Systems (QAD, MFG Pro – an advantage).
- German language skills (spoken & written) â high advantage.
