You will support the Branch Manager to ensure that the service from your hub is best in class. You will manage a department that is health, safe, and legal at all times, maximising efficiency, availability, and delivering great service to our customers.
This role provides you with the flexibility to run a butchery business without financial risk. We seek someone with good product knowledge of all meat proteins, who is self-motivated and eager to succeed.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure all butchery activities are managed in line with Be the Best At standards.
- Prepare customer orders accurately, to a high standard, and in a timely manner.
- Live PRIDE values and ensure the butchery team assists customers quickly and professionally.
- Complete and record diary tasks as necessary.
- Complete the Meat Pick report as required.
- Support new colleagues during their induction.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment for all colleagues.
- Lead by example, role model the Booker Code of Business Conduct and Win Together Behaviours.
- Build and maintain good working relationships internally and externally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and mandatory training.
- Support a culture of health, safety, and legality.
- Champion diversity and inclusion, ensuring everyone is welcome at Booker.
