Job Description
Are you passionate about regulatory change and its impact on global markets? We\’re looking for an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Lead – Markets Onboarding Regulatory Implementation (West) .
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the design and implementation of regulatory onboarding frameworks across a broad range of jurisdictions and regulatory regimes. You\’ll partner with global stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Front Office, Operations, and Technology to embed regulatory controls into the client onboarding lifecycle — ensuring our Markets clients are fully compliant and operationally ready.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Execution
- Lead end-to-end implementation of regulatory onboarding processes across country and global requirements (e.g. Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID, MAS, ASIC).
- Translate complex regulatory obligations into practical onboarding workflows, tools, and procedures.
- Integrate controls into due diligence, client risk classification, documentation, and data capture.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strategic partner across the business, risk, technology, onboarding, and operational teams.
- Coordinate onboarding readiness across all first-line functions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Facilitate communication and training for change initiatives and regulatory rollouts.
Process & Project Management
- Lead regulatory change initiatives from planning through delivery.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure process consistency, risk controls, and regulatory traceability.
- Review user stories and system requirements to ensure business and compliance objectives are met.
Risk & Governance
- Identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks in onboarding processes.
- Approve Change Risk Assessments and maintain accurate implementation documentation.
- Champion best practices, process improvements, and digital transformation.
Skills and Qualifications Skills
- Deep understanding of global regulatory requirements and client onboarding in financial markets
- Proven experience leading regulatory implementation or change management projects
- Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex regulatory requirements to diverse stakeholders
- Skilled in stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration
- Analytical thinker with the ability to problem-solve and drive innovation
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Qualifications
- Degree qualified, ideally in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline
- Vast experience in regulatory implementation, onboarding, or Markets operations
- Hands-on knowledge of Markets products and client lifecycle processes
- Exposure to Agile delivery and business project ownership is a plus
- Fluent English required; other languages an advantage
