Location: London/Remote
Cloud Architect required to join our Satalia team.
You will be responsible for creating enterprise-quality AI, ML, and Data Science based solutions. You will be involved in technology selection, API design, and establishing core patterns within our products and client projects. You will consider the functional and non-functional requirements to inform these decisions and lead our development team in implementing them. You will work with our world-class Data Science and Data Engineering teams to provide robust, high-quality, performant cloud-based solutions for our customers.
This is not a role for someone who doesn\’t love development. Our technical architects are expected to prove solutions, contribute to the development team, review code, and drive improvements to our practices and processes. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role includes direct interaction with clients and stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
The world of AI is evolving rapidly, and we keep our knowledge current by exploring new technologies and sharing insights. As an architect, you would be expected to bring new ideas to our projects and assess ideas from the team.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Creating enterprise-quality solutions within a broad technical landscape
- Developing serverless solutions for data science and ML models
- Writing cloud Infrastructure as Code deployment scripts
- Guiding a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding and translating customer needs into technical solutions
- Collaborating with clients, product owners, and analysts to ensure sound architecture
- Making technology choices to meet non-functional requirements while ensuring value
What we want from you:
- Strong proficiency in Java, TypeScript, and/or Python
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code platforms (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Knowledge of serverless and containerization approaches
- Deep understanding of at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience designing enterprise solutions within a wider technical context
- Understanding of traditional design patterns and their application to AI
- Commitment to quality, automated testing, and IaC principles
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Additional skills that are a plus:
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures
- Experience with Rust
- Familiarity with data engineering platforms
