Principal Electrical Engineer – New Job Opportunity – Initial 12 Month PAYE Contract
Our Client has a requirement for a Principal Electrical Engineer , who will be required to work on a Contract basis in Leatherhead, Surrey.
Location: Leatherhead Surrey, 5 Days per week in office
Contract: 12 Month contract Inside IR35 PAYE
Project: LNG FEED Project (Aramco Experience Required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver electrical engineering design activities across all project phases, with a focus on FEED, pre-FEED, and conceptual studies.
- Develop electrical systems for medium and high voltage networks (up to 132kV), including overhead lines and reactive power compensation.
- Interface with grid operators and ensure compliance with protection, control, and distribution system requirements.
- Apply Aramco Standards and Grid Code regulations to all relevant aspects of electrical system design and integration.
- Support brownfield modifications, integrating new systems with existing infrastructure.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment across project scopes and schedules.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience gained with consultant engineering firms, machinery manufacturers, or end users.
- Mandatory previous experience working on Aramco projects.
- Proven expertise in gas processing or LNG facilities.
- In-depth understanding of electrical engineering in energy transition projects and 132kV distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of Aramco electrical standards, including interface and protection requirements.
