We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer – VHDL/FPGA to join our existing team in Chelmsford on an initial 6 to 9 month contract.
As a Senior Firmware Engineer – VHDL/FPGA , you will work with a team of highly-skilled engineers from a range of backgrounds and contribute to the design and implementation of electronics systems. We design and deliver high-performance systems, generating interesting and complex electronics design challenges. Depending on your experience level, you might use your skills and experience to lead teams of engineers to design, implement and deliver electronic systems. Or, as an early-years professional, you might develop your electronics skills as part of a dynamic and skilled engineering team, working towards taking on ever-greater project responsibility.
You
To succeed within the role of a Senior Firmware Engineer – VHDL/FPGA , you’ll have the following:
- Significant firmware development experience (VHDL) for FPGAs / RFSoCs
- Experience with Xilinx chipsets (Zynq) and design tools (Vivado) is preferable
- Understanding of communications system design and modem development, including the design, implementation and test of communications signal processing chain components. A proven ability to develop detailed designs/implementations from outline concepts and system technical requirements is highly advantageous.
In addition, you should also have the ability to produce well-written design documentation to accompany commented source code and experience with Software Version Control Systems (Git).
Due to the sensitive and security nature of the work involved, we can only consider those who have lived in the UK in the last 5 years and are eligible for SC security clearance.
