We are currently recruiting for a QA Supervisor based at our Llanidloes site. This will be a 5-day onsite role. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small QA team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the QA team, enabling team members to carry out inspection and monitoring activities, and ensuring that all dressed carcasses meet the required standards to satisfy customer specifications in accordance with industry standards and legislative requirements.

The Role

We are looking for a self-starting individual to manage and support the established quality team at our fresh lamb site in Llanidloes. This is a critical role in delivering the site’s quality agenda and strategy, requiring cooperation with the Operational Team and third parties to achieve the site’s goals and role objectives. Responsibilities include managing the Quality Team, conducting daily quality checks and inspections, and participating in daily production meetings. The successful applicant is expected to actively participate in site projects, including continuous improvement and root cause analysis.

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of 3 years food manufacturing experience.
  • Or a HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline with at least 1 year of food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in Food Safety practices, HACCP awareness, and GMP.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
  • This role can be physically demanding.

Desirable Criteria

  • Food Safety Level 3 or above.
  • HACCP Level 3 or above.
  • Team leadership experience in a food environment.
  • Health and Safety Training / Qualification.
