We\’re looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our North West team in a key role across the region. The role will cover the North West and can be aligned to our Salford or Speke Offices, with flexibility to work on a hybrid basis between office, home, and third-party locations as required.
Location : Salford / Speke – North West Region. Flexibility for some home working.
Hours : Full Time, Permanent.
What will you be responsible for?
The Senior Bid Manager plays a crucial role in Kier Construction, working closely with the SMT and SLT to influence successful tendering of projects within both public and private sectors.
Responsibilities include formulating and executing bidding strategies, converting tenders to preferred bidder status, and transitioning second-stage bids to live projects.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Tracking project pipelines, conducting research and analysis, and collaborating with business development to identify future opportunities aligned with Kier Construction\’s capabilities.
- Assembling bid teams, selecting relevant expertise to meet client needs, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.
- Organizing and leading bid meetings, setting strategies, timelines, and obligations, and ensuring timely technical input.
- Reviewing and verifying information from internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with bid strategies.
- Guiding and editing bid documentation to meet strategic goals.
- Participating in feedback sessions with clients, managing tender queries, and presenting bids to internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously learning about MMC methodologies, industry trends, and technological advancements to keep Kier at the forefront of modern delivery.

- Have experience managing bid services within a tier 1 construction environment.
