I am currently recruiting for a Category Manager who will manage a small team. This role involves developing and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, analyzing market trends, and ensuring the optimal product mix to meet customer needs and business goals.
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with company objectives to maximize sales and profitability.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Manage the product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategy for the category.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible cost, quality, and delivery.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to execute product launches and promotions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Track and report on category performance, including sales, margin, and market share.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Key requirements:
Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, BI tools, etc.).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Strategic thinking with strong commercial awareness.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
